About Me
I am a stay at home mom with two grown children
and three grandchildren, with another one on the
way! I love to sew and right now, I'm mostly
sewing for the grandchildren. Although I'm mostly
a garment seamstress, my daughter keeps
requesting quilts for the children, so I make quilts
as well as garments. Someday, I hope to return to
sewing for myself.

I taught private sewing lessons( for beginners
only) for several years and really enjoyed it. I
really enjoyed teaching and was sorry when I had
to stop teaching sewing in order to care for aging
parents. Now that life has settled down a little bit,
I hope that the information provided here will help
guide you in your quest to learn to sew, and
perhaps prevent some frustration that many
beginners have when first learning to sew. It's a
bit harder to do online than in person, but I'll do
my best.

Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions
you may have. I'll answer them to the best of my
ability, and if I can't answer them, I'll try to give
you resources so that you can research the
answer for yourself.

Happy Sewing!

Belinda
I have tried to provide many pictures of sewing techniques
because I think that helps a new seamstress to visualize
the concept. Here are some more pictures for you.
