Square Pillow Sewing Instructions |
Make a pattern for a square pillow.Remember to add seam allowances |
Sew seams, pivoting at corners |
Press seams open before turning right side out |
Clip corners diagonally |
Use point turner to get sharp corners |

Remember to add seam allowances to your pattern. You may choose any size you want--1/2 inch seam allowance, or more or less because this will be your design! (My pillows are quite small because I sewed them to use as examples.) On round pillows, pink and clip seam. Press seams open and cut corners diagonally on square pillows. When sewing pillows, remember to leave a space for turning right side out. Press well! Embellish in any way you like! Making throw pillows is a great way to practice your sewing, use up scraps, and make quick, easy gifts! |
