How to Sew Patch Pockets |
It's quite easy to make professional looking patch pockets. Sewing instructions for are generally the same on all patterns. |
Pocket pattern pinned onto the fabric. |
Measure the pocket hem |
Stitch hem, usually 5/8 inch seam allowance |
Cut corner diagonally |
Use a point turner to get a sharp corner on pocket hem. |
Sew the pocket hem |
When sewing the pocket hem, I use the finished edge of the pocket as a guide. |
