Once the sleeves are sewn to the bodice, pin the side seam and sleeve seam. The side seam and sleeve seam will be sewn in one pass. I start at the bottom of the garment and sew up, ending at the bottom of the sleeve. |

As you can see, this technique is a bit easier than setting in sleeves the traditional way. Make sure to finish the seams. I have chosen to sew the side and sleeve seam and will serge finish and press the seam to one side. Another way to finish the seam is to finish the seam prior to sewing it, and press the seam open. |
