Sewing Pants/Shorts Cont'd |
The sewn shorts/pants crotch seam will still be forming the "U" shape. When you turn the shorts/pants right side out, they will look like shorts or pants, just like they do in the picture below. |
The shorts/pants are not complete yet; they still need a casing at the waist and a hem. A casing is sewn at the waist. Elastic is inserted into the casing. |
Measure the casing and then press because this will help the sewing process. My particular pattern calls for a 1-1/4 inch casing. |
