How to Sew Blankets Cont'd
When I sew these reversible blankets and I serge them, I don't pay attention to seam
allowances; I just serge off some of the fabric. Sewing the corners is easy because
you just round off the corners until you come to the place you started sewing. I like
to overlap the serging and then serge off and clip the threads.

As you can see, these reversible blankets are really easy to make! If you don't have
a serger, or you are a beginning sewer, you might prefer to sew this blanket on a
regular sewing machine.

With this sewing method, you still use only one yard of fabric for each side, but you
might want to make sure to straighten up the fabric a bit to ensure that you get even
seams. I would suggest using a 3/8 inch or 1/2 inch seam allowance. I also made
this example in miniature, and I chose to sew a 3/8 inch seam allowance.

Sewing the reversible blanket using this method is similar to sewing a square pillow.
